FAQ's

1.  Q: 
What is ParaDiva Netnique?
   A: Literally, Para Diva means for a prima donna.  Netnique is a term we coined.  It stands for a place where you will find unique items on the internet.  :)  Although I don't think that we are prima donnas in the sense that we are spoiled or difficult to get along with, there are some of us who insist on good quality for a reasonable price and we all like to feel we are worth special consideration.  At ParaDiva, you should find it.

    B:  ParaDiva is a small, specialized business.  We are quite reachable and friendly folks.  If you feel more comfortable using the telephone, you may call 888-499-3764 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

2. Q:  What can I find at ParaDiva? 
 A: Well, at first there will be a lot of jewelry.  Why?  Because it adorns us and makes us feel special.  Jewelry is a very personal purchase.  It's a good place to start for a diva, don't you think?  Many of our items will be one-of-a-kind and designer pieces.  We will be adding a new department (Fortuitous Frog) that is not geared toward jewelry, but may have antiques, vintage, collectibles, decor items and other gifty items.  We even have some large furniture pieces, but those would be "pick up" only items and handled a bit differently.  Give us a call about those.

3. Q: Why is insurance required?
 A: It is important to know that merchandise will not be "lost" even though we all know it can happen.  If your purchase is insured, you can feel a bit more confident because carriers are much more inclined to be careful.  Once the shipment leaves our warehouse or a manufacturer's warehouse, it's up to the customer to track and make sure it arrives.  We will notify you when your purchase is shipped and  by which carrier.  FedEx and UPS will provide tracking numbers.  USPS provides a tracking number, but it is only from beginning post office to arrival post office.

4. Q:   What shipping carriers do you use?
 A: It depends on what is being shipped.  Small items under 2 pounds with a value under $100 will usually be shipped via USPS Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation.  Larger items or items of higher value will most likely be shipped via UPS or FedEx, insured.

5: Q: Why can't I have something shipped to someone else if I use Paypal?
 A: For the moment it is a security/fraud issue.  The shipping address must be the same as the billing address or verified address at Paypal.  We are looking at other options, but for now, that is a requirement.  If you must ship to an address other than the credit card billing address or Paypal verified address, please call us for possible exception.  We will not guarantee compliance, nor will we guarantee proper delivery if we can't verify the shipping address.  In addition, payment will have to clear our bank (not just Paypal) before we ship to an unverified address.

6. Q: Do you ship internationally?
 A: No.  We ship only to U.S. verifiable addresses.  We can ship to APO/FPO addresses,  but cannot guarantee delivery.  If you choose to ship to APO/FPO, you do so at your risk.  All shipments will be via USPS and will also be limited to whatever the military requires.

7. Q: Do you ship to Post Office Boxes?
 A: At this time, we do not ship to Post Office boxes.  There are exceptions - someone who lives in a rural area where FedEx will not deliver, for instance.  (See question 5)

8: Q:   How can I reach you?
 A: You can always email us via the "contact us" form.  If you must call, hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Telephone: 888-499-3764.  If you get voice mail, please leave a detailed message.  We can return calls to US telephone numbers only.  We do not maintain office hours on weekends.  Our mailing address is:

9: Q: Do you accept any payment other than Paypal?
 A: Yes.  We accept VISA and MASTERCARD using Paypal Express Checkout.  If these are not options for you (PayPal shouldn't be a problem for anyone), At this time we also accept Google Express Checkout.  You may choose your option during checkout.

10. Q: Do you combine shipping?
 A: In some cases yes, but not always.  I know that sounds evasive, but it isn't.  Some items are shipped directly from the manufacturer or distributor.  In those cases we can't combine shipping unless those items are all shipped from the same warehouse.  In other cases, items can't be shipped in the same container.  You wouldn't want something broken because it was shipped with another item that is too heavy.  Also, please note that our Free Shipping special offer for orders over $100 applies only to small items such as jewelry.

 So the answer is, it depends...  Let's just say that if we can combine shipping we will.  However, anything that is combined must be on the same order.  In addition, you must go through our Store checkout to receive either reduced shipping or any other benefits and promotions we may offer.  If you go directly through Paypal or Google, none of those offers will be recognized by our system.  So PLEASE use our checkout link.  Your choice can always be to use regular Paypal rather than Express Checkout.
